Killer of prisoners” in Marib survives fourth assassination attempt

MARIB, Sept. 16 (YPA) – One of the most prominent emirs of al-Qaeda in Marib city, Sheikh Ali bin Hassan Gharib, on Thursday survived the fourth assassination attempt by detonating an explosive device planted in his car, local sources said.

Sheikh Gharib, a prominent leader in the Islah Party, in charge of coordinating with terrorist elements, survived the explosion of an explosive device planted in his car while fleeing from “Al Shabwan” area in Abidah Valley towards the border crossing with Saudi Arabia.

According to the sources, two of Gharib’s escorts in the explosion, while the coalition forces are reticent about publishing details about the extent of the injury that Sheikh Gharib sustained.

The sources revealed that members of Al-Qaeda planted the explosive device in the car of “Ghraib”, after they failed to convince him not to escape from the battles against the forces of Sanaa, which approached his home.
