Two killed, one wounded as earthquake strikes China’s Southwest

SANAA, Sept. 16 (YPA) – Two people were killed and three others injured when a 6-magnitude earthquake hit southwestern China early Thursday morning.

 

The quake jolted Luxian County, Luzhou City of southwest China’s Sichuan Province, Xinhua reported.

 

According to local authorities, quake occurred specifically at 4:33 a.m. Thursday, also causing some houses to collapse.

 

According to the China Seismological Networks Centre, The epicenter was monitored at 29.2 degrees north latitude and 105.34 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 10 km.
