Islah militias suppress STC protests in Shabwa

SHABWA, Sept. 15 (YPA) – The special forces of Islah militias stormed on Wednesday the protest arena of the southern transitional council in Shabwa province.

The storming of the festival square came after Al-Islah gunmen surrounded the gatherings of the southern transitional masses and prevented them from entering or exiting to Ataq city, eyewitnesses affirmed.

The eyewitnesses mentioned that the military checkpoints of Islah militias opened fire at the protesters who demand departure of Islah troops from Shabwa.

The eyewitnesses pointed out that Islah militants launched arrest campaign against transitional demonstrators.
