European Union to send team to monitor Iraqi elections

SANAA, Sept. 14 (YPA) – The European Union (EU) on Monday announced the dispatch of a team to monitor Iraq’s early elections on October 10.

“In response to a call from the Independent High Electoral Commission in Iraq, our team will monitor next month’s Iraqi legislative elections,” the union said in a statement.

Iraq’s early elections have few days left, according to a date set by Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi, who decided that polling day would be on the 10th of next month.
