Annalena Baerbock: Germany should get rid of US nuclear weapons

SANAA, Sept. 08 (YPA) – Annalena Baerbock, the Green Party candidate for chancellor has announced her position against the presence of US nuclear weapons in her country.

Germany should become part of the ongoing negotiations between Russia and the United States on nuclear weapons, particularly on weapons in Germany, Annalena Baerbock told German television channel ARD on Wednesday.

She added, that her country now had “opportunities” and needed to be taken advantage of them.

Baerbock said that if she wins parliamentary elections or wins a seat in the ruling coalition, she would demand that the United States move its nuclear arsenal from her country.
