Taliban officially declares end of war in Afghanistan

SANAA, Sept. 06 (YPA) – The Afghan Taliban movement officially declared on Monday the end of the war in the country after the control of Panjshir province.

According to Zabihullah Mujahid, the movement’s main spokesman, said in a statement, “With this victory and empowerment, our country has completely emerged from wars, Afghanistan will make freedom, independence and prosperity, in additional to the Afghan people will live in safety, well-being and tranquility.”

Mujahid affirmed that all the sons of Panjshir were not harmed during the military operations, all the rights will be protected with the rest of the Afghan people, noting that all the new Panjshir authorities are formed by the province’s sons.

The spokesman pointed out that the movement sought to resolve the issue of Panjshir peacefully through negotiation, but the opposite party refused that.

Regarding the formation of the government, Mujahid said that a new interim government will be formed and announced soon, with some amendments being made in the future.
