NCM expects rains of varying intensity on mountainous provinces

SANAA, Sept. 03 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expects rain of varying intensity in the mountainous provinces, the interior hilltops, and coastal areas within the next 24 hours.

The center stated in its weather forecast that moderate to heavy rains, accompanied by thunderstorms, would prevail over in separate areas of the mountainous governorates of Lahj, Taiz, Ibb, Al Dhalea, Rayma, Dhamar, Mahweet and Hajjah.

“The rains also will cover separate areas of the interior hilltops of the province of Bayda, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout and Mahra.”

The center added that the continuation of the southwest monsoon winds on the Socotra archipelago and the eastern coasts.

It warned citizens in areas where rain expected from the flow of torrents in waterways and valleys, and advised not to be present in waterways during and after the rain.
