YPC: Coalition forces still detaining four fuel ships

SANAA, Sept. 03  (YPA) – Yemen Petroleum Company (YPC) has said that  Saudi-led aggression coalition forces are still holding four oil ships, including two ships carrying gas.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the YPC confirmed that that the coalition of aggression continues to detain two oil ships with a load of 59,707 tons of gasoline and diesel for for a period of more than eight months.

Although all these ships have completed all inspection procedures through the Mechanism of the Verification and Inspection Mission in Djibouti (UNVIM) and obtained UN permits.

It stressed that these measures are contrary to the composition of the relevant organs of the United Nations. The measures also disregard objectives of the Swedish Agreement, which stressed need to facilitate access to the port of Hodeidah for basic materials and humanitarian assistance to meet the needs and aspirations of the Yemeni people.
