Iran’s Foreign Minister: US lacks a proper understanding of the region and its people

TEHRAN, Sept. 02 (YPA) – Foreign Minister of Iran Hossein Amirabdollahian said  the US lacks a proper understanding of the region and its people, especially the Iranian people, and the  Americans should realize that they can only speak the language of respect.

This came during a telephone conversation with his Croatian counterpart Gordan Grlic Radman on Tuesday.

“Negotiations for the sake of negotiations is not Iran’s policy, as the talks must be focused on the fulfillment of the interests of the Iranian people,” he underlined.

Amirabdollahian criticized the Americans’ deceptive positions of imposing a ban on sending essential drugs such as the Corona vaccine produced in Germany to Iran.

Speaking of Vienna talks, Amirabdollahian expounded on Iran’s views about the Vienna talks on the revival of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.
