Violent clashes erupt in Lahj

LAHJ, Aug. 28 (YPA) – Violent clashes erupted on Saturday in Tawr al-Baha district of Lahj province, local sources said.

The sources affirmed that the clashes broke out among al-Maamia and al-Atwin tribes, leaving an injured from the last tribe.

The sources declared that the confrontations erupted among the two tribes, because gunmen from Atwin tribe killed a man from al-Maamia tribe.

Random bombing hit the homes, while various light and medium weapons were used during the clashes, causing panic and fear among residents.
