Angry protests held in Shabwa to condemn Islah violations

SHABWA, Aug. 26 (YPA) – Hundreds of people in Jardan district of Shabwa province held on Thursday a protest rally to condemn the violations committed by Saudi-backed Islah militants against citizens.

At the rally, the protesters demanded the Islah authority to free men kidnapped in secret jails of the province.

The participants denounced the Islah’s abuse against innocent citizens, their brutality with opponents and critics of corruption and crimes, calling for monitoring of detention centers and prisons in the province.

The continuation of the policy of arbitrary arrests will lead the governorate to security chaos.
