Death toll due to floods raise to 52 in Sudan

SANAA, Aug. 23 (YPA) – The death toll of floods that hit Sudan on Monday raised to 52, according to Sudanese official.

The spokesman of Sudanese National Civil Defense Council, Abdul Jalil Abdul Rahim said that a woman and her baby died yesterday, as a result of heavy rain and torrential rain in Sennar state.

With these two victims, the death toll from the floods increased to 52, including 26 ones in River Nile state, in north of Sudan.

He also revealed the collapse of 3,890 homes completely, and more than 12,500 homes partially.
