Industry Minister stresses importance of registering trademarks for preserving rights

SANAA, Aug. 21 (YPA) – Minister of Industry and Trade Abdul-Wahhab Al-Durra stressed the importance of spreading awareness about the methods and mechanisms of trademark registration for preserving the rights of others.

This came during his meeting on Saturday to discuss plans and activities to protect intellectual property, and ways to address the difficulties and problems facing the work.

The minister affirmed the ministry’s keenness to simplify the procedures in the registration process for trademarks and to preserve the rights of all agencies, companies and institutions.

He affirmed the need for inventing creative solutions, standardizing technical examination standards, and committing to implementing legal procedures.
