NCM expect thunderstorms of varying intensity in the coming hour

SANAA, Aug. 21 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology expected rain of varying intensity, accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds, on the western highlands and eastern and southern coasts during the next 24 hours.

The center stated in its weather bulletin that thunder rain of varying intensity is expected, accompanied by strong downward winds, on separate areas of the western and southwestern highlands from Taiz in the south to Saada in the north.

The center pointed out that the rains may be very heavy in the provinces of Taiz, Ibb, Dhalea, Mahwit, Hajjah, west of Sanaa, Amran and Saada, and extend east to the interior hills of Bayda, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadhramaut and Mahra, and westward towards parts of the western coasts and mountainous heights opposite the provinces of Taiz and Hodeidah.

The center pointed out the possibility of scattered rain on parts of the eastern and southern coasts, with the monsoon winds continuing in the Socotra archipelago.
