Afghan youth team player killed after falling from US plane

SANAA, Aug. 19 (YPA) – The Afghan national football team revealed on its official Facebook page on Thursday the death of an Afghan youth team player while trying to escape on a US military plane.

According to the Afghan national football team’s page, the national team player “Zaki Anuri” was killed last Monday, when he fell from a US plane he was attached to while trying to get out of Afghanistan.

The General Directorate of Physical Education and Sports in Afghanistan had reported earlier that one of the people who tragically fell from a US military plane that left Kabul, was a young Afghan football player.
