Marib Youth Tribes Assembly welcomes Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi’s initiative regarding peace

MARIB, Aug. 18 (YPA) – The Marib Youth Tribes Assembly welcomed the initiative of Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi which was presented to the Omani mediation delegation on peace in the province during their visit to Sana’a.

In a statement, the Marib Youth Assembly said that the country had only reaped the destruction of its public and private assets, economy and infrastructure from the six years of war.

The statement added, Marib province was affected like other provinces of the republic from this war and paid the price of this conflict from the blood of its sons and from its infrastructure and capabilities.

“The Marib tribes voiced their support for the nine- point  initiative, the majority of these points are welcomed such as the partnership between the sons of Marib in power and wealth and the neutralization of vital facilities and the partnership of the people in wealth and capabilities as it is a national sovereign wealth owned by this people from Saada to Mahrah, the statement read.

The statement called on the people of the province not to be dragged towards political emotions and self-interest at the expense of the country and its people.
