Major fire breaks out in building of social affairs ministry in Aden

ADEN, Aug. 16 (YPA) – A major fire broke out on Monday in the Ministry of Social Affairs of the “Hadi government” in the city of Aden, southern Yemen.

Local sources indicated that the fire occurred due to an electrical short circuit at the ministry’s headquarters in Al-Khasaf neighborhood in Crater area.

The fire caused the explosion of the electrical transformer located in the courtyard of the ministry building, the sources added.

This comes after a fire broke out yesterday, Sunday, in the Documentation and Registration Building, and the Public Funds Court, which contains documents related to the state lands and real estate in the city, without any reasons mentioned.
