Iraq announces arrest of 7 of most dangerous ISIS leaders

BAGHDAD, Aug. 15 (YPA) – Iraqi authorities on Sunday announced the arrest of seven dangerous leaders of the terrorist organization “ISIS” (which is banned globally) in Nineveh governorate.

The Security Media Cell said in a statement, “The intelligence services managed, in a qualitative operation, to arrest seven terrorists from the ISIS dangerous leading elements.”

After interrogating them, they confessed that they had worked with the terrorist organization under pseudonyms (Abu Anas, Abu Sufyan, Abu Zina, Abu Seif, Abu Fahd, Abu Mujahid), the cell added.

The statement indicated that “legal measures were taken against them in accordance with the law.”
