ABYAN, Aug. 12 (YPA) – One of citizens found on Thursday a Yemeni precious treasure of archaeological and historical artifacts in Abyan province.
Local Media said that the civilian found pieces of ancient Himyarite inscriptions and statues dating back to pre-Islamic times, while grazing sheep near old buildings in Yaramis area.
The media declared that the pieces included statues and inscriptions, pointing out that the citizen refrained from selling these antiquities in exchange for large sums of money offered to him.
