STC militias free Al-Shaibani preacher in Aden

ADEN, Aug. 11 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militias released on Wednesday a Salafi preacher ten months after his abduction in Aden city, south of Yemen.

Local sources said the Salafi preacher, Abdul Qader Al-Shaibani, 70, has been arrested by the STC militias for more than 10 months while he was preparing to travel to receive treatment abroad.

Al-Shaibani’s health condition is very bad, and his family would be prepared to transfer him abroad for treatment, the sources added.

On November 2, 2020, the preacher Al-Shaibani was kidnapped by armed men wearing civilian clothes in Al-Mansoura neighborhood in Aden province.
