President Al-Mashat stresses need to deliver electricity to largest number of citizens

SANAA, Aug. 11 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, on Wednesday stressed the need to work to deliver electricity service to the largest possible number of citizens in the capital, provinces, cities and rural areas.

This came during his meeting with Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Development Affairs Dr. Hussein Maqbouli, Minister of Electricity and Energy Ahmed Al-Ali, and Deputy Minister of Electricity Abdulghani Al-Madani.

President Al-Mashat urged the ministry to prepare a plan to deliver electricity to the cities and countryside during the next five years, and to operate the possible and available power stations, in a way that contributes to providing electricity services to the citizens at competitive prices.

He also stressed the need to establish controls for the electricity of the private and commercial sector, with regard to tariffs and fees to ensure that citizens’ conditions are taken into account.
