Abdul Salam comments on appointment of new UN envoy to Yemen

SANAA, Aug. 08 (YPA) – The head of national negotiating delegation, Mohammed Abdul-Salam, commented on Sunday the appointment of Hans Grundberg as UN Special Envoy for Yemen.

Abdul-Salam said on Twitter that the UN new appointment about Yemen does mean nothing unless there is an explicit declaration to stop the war and lift the siege.

“There is no any dialogue before re-opening airports and ports as a priority and a humanitarian necessity.”

He called on the Saudi-led coalition countries to realize the suffering and destruction caused by their aggression and siege, warning against the continuation of their intransigence.
