Heavy rain hits Sanaa, capital of Yemen

SANAA, Aug. 03 (YPA) – The capital Sanaa and its environs witnessed on Tuesday evening heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms.

The torrential rains have caused flood in a number of neighborhoods in the capital, in which many of its streets were cut off.

Several pictured obtained by Yemen Press Agency showed the Saylat Sanaa filled rainwater.

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) said rains of varying intensity could continue to fall on the mountainous heights in most of Yemeni provinces during the next 24 hours.
