Al-Houthi warns traders against attempts to raise prices

SANAA, Aug. 01 (YPA) – Member of the Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi warned on Sunday traders against attempts to raise prices of food.

in an extended meeting , al-Houthi directed the Ministry of Industry and Trade to warn merchants against raising prices, declaring emergency and controlling prices for a month, in additional to preparing a pledge form not to raise prices and to be distributed at outlets.

This came during his meeting with the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Deputy Minister of Interior, Deputy Minister of Industry, First Advocate General and Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior.

The official to discussed aspects related to the stability of food prices in light of the aggression mercenaries of raising the customs tariffs to 100% by the Saudi-led coalition and its mercenaries.

He said, “Accepting the new tariff imposed by the mercenaries is a betrayal of the homeland, and an exploitation of citizen.”

“It is not permissible for using the airport and the port by the United Nations to bring containers, while a citizen’s need are leaving in the ports controlled by the aggression.”

Al-Houthi added that the measures taken by a group of coalition’s thieves are a sword wielded to starve, raise prices and impoverish citizens in the north and south.

He continued, “This is a warning to merchants not to raise any increase in the customs tariff targeting the citizen.”
