STC arrests military commander loyal to Hadi government in Abyan

ABYAN, Jul. 26 (YPA) –  The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council  (STC)’s militia arrested a military commander affiliated with al-Islah party in Abyan province, southern Yemen, local sources reported on Monday.

According to the sources, Abdullah Saleh bin Saleh al-Ameeri, one of the commanders in “103rd infantry Brigade” belonging to Hadi forces was arrested by the so-called security belt forces in Wadi Hassan in Abyan province.

The sources explained that “the commander has in possession 10,800 Saudi riyals and 7500 Yemeni riyals where he was practicing his military reconnaissance work in accordance with the directives of his leadership,”

They  added that “Al-Ameeri” participated in the battle in Shuqra district along with Islah militants.
