SANAA, Jul. 22 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has expected heavy rains on large parts of Yemen within the coming 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin on Thursday, the possibility of moderate to heavy rain, accompanied by thunderstorms from the provinces of Saada, Hajjah, Mahweet, Raymah and parts of Sanaa and Amran provinces, while the provinces of Dhalea, Bayda and Abyan will be witnessing less heavy rains.
Scattered rain showers accompanied by thunder, is likely on the western and southern coasts, the bulletin stated.
It called on citizens to stay away from torrential streams during the rain, warning drivers of low visibility, and “mudslides and rockslides” during rainfall.
