Syrian air defenses confront Israeli aggression over Homs city

SANAA, Jul. 22 (YPA) – The Syrian air defenses, on Wednesday/Thursday night, repelled an Israeli aggression over the sky of the city of Homs.

A high-ranking security source told Sputnik that the Syrian air defenses were confronting Israeli missiles launched from over Lebanese territory, and had tried to target some military sites in the vicinity of the city of Homs.

The source added, “The air defenses were able to shoot down most of the Israeli missiles before they reached their target.”

“The damage caused by this aggression is currently being examined,” the source added.
