Gunmen hijack bus in Abyan

ABYAN, Jul. 17 (YPA) – Unknown gunmen hijacked on Saturday a bus belonging to al-Wehda Cement Factory in Abyan province, south of Yemen.

According to sources, the gunmen and got down workers of the factory in a road between Zinjibar and Jaar area and took it to an unknown destination.

In this regard, Al Wahda Cement Company’s management held the security authorities in Abyan – belonging to Saudi-backed exiled Hadi government- the responsible for hijacking the company’s bus and threatening workers.

The Factory’s management had announced during the past months that it had been subjected to several extortions by elements affiliated with the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council militias and Islah militias several times.
