SANAA, Jul. 16 (YPA) – The National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs on Friday condemned the heinous crime committed by Al-Qaeda and ISIS elements in which they beheaded two prisoners of the Yemeni army and popular Committees during the recent battles in Bayda province.
In a statement, the committee explained that Saqr Ghanem Rashid Hussein al-Maliki and Mohammed Ahmed Murshid Tawaf were beheaded by the terrorist element hired by the Saudi-led coalition in Bayda .
The army and popular committed found their bodies after the liberation of all areas seized by Al-Qaeda and Daesh (ISIS) elements in the Al-Zahir and al- Sawma’ah districts, the statement read.
The statement held the coalition responsible for this crime, which is contrary to all religious and human principles, and values and norms.
“The coalition’s relationship with al-Qaeda and ISIS elements has become clear behavior and practice at the military and media levels,” the statement said.
It also stressed that this heinous crime puts the credibility of the international community, which claims to fight these elements, at stake through their positions on the perpetrators and their supporters.
The statement called on the United Nations, its organizations operating in Yemen and all local organizations to condemn this heinous crime and prosecute the perpetrators until they receive their deterrent punishment.
