In audio recording, Salafist leader blames STC’s leaders for defeat in Bayda

LAHJ, Jul. 16 (YPA) – Hussein al-Salahi, a Salafist leader in Yemen has held the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) leaders responsible for the defeat they suffered in al-Zaher district, Bayda governorate, in which the army of the National Salvation Government, backed by the Popular Committees won a landslide victory against the countries of aggression.

Al-Salahi accused the STC leaders of preventing the arrival of reinforcements, even going as far as accusing the Emiratis of cooperating with Ansarullah, the main political organisation in the National Salvation Government of Yemen.

Al-Salahi said in an audio recording that the STC forces in Yafa, under the order of Saleh al-Sayyid, detained the reinforcements and prevented their access to Al Humiqan in al-Zaher district.

Hussein al-Salahi, a Salafist leader from Yafa’a, said that locsl sheikhs prevented the Salafist forces from using roads on their territory, which forced them to make detours on the way to the frontline.
