Police handle 1,185 crimes in Amran

AMRAN, Jul. 15 (YPA) – Police have completed investigating 1,185 crimes during the first half of this year in Amran province.

A statistic issued on Thursday by the province’s police stated that among the crimes handled were 69 premeditated murders and 31 injuries, as well as 18 unintentional murders, and 218 attempted murders.

The statistics affirmed that the police recovered 5 stolen cars and 14 motorbikes, which were handed over to their owners, while 8 looted cars were recovered.

In the same time, a number of 6,906 people of African and Asian nationalities were arrested, who had entered the country illegally.

In the area of drug control, 3,356 kilograms of hashish were seized, coming from the Saudi-led coalition-controlled areas.
