Interior Ministry announces to seize 488 coalition sabotage operations

SANAA, Jul. 14 (YPA) – Ministry of Interior announced on Wednesday about 488 sabotage and terrorist operations carried out by the Saudi-led coalition have been seized and thwarted of since the beginning of this year.

The ministry’s spokesman, Brigadier General Abdul-Khaleq Al-Ajri, said in a statement that the operations varied between intermittent operations and attempting to blow up government headquarters, planting ambushes and explosive devices against security patrols or military vehicles.

Al-Ajri stated that the Yemeni security services arrested about 1,064 members of the coalition, 58 of whom were assigned to monitor the movements of the army and security forces and mobilize people to fight alongside the coalition.

The ministry managed since which to seize 8,239 serious crimes, including 529 premeditated murders, the statement added.

With regard to theft crimes, statement explained the security services seized in the same times 122 stolen car and 524 motorbike were, as well as 212 forced theft, and 1,851 other theft crimes.

According to the statement, the security forces had seized over 1,000 crimes of drug smuggling and promotion.

The statement affirmed that 5,610 movement operations were secured across the provinces for the employees of foreign organizations in Yemen, as well as 19,488 trucks belonging to the organizations carrying food, shelter, medicines and health supplies.
