Iraq: death toll of Nasiriyah fire rises to 94

SANAA, Jul. 14 (YPA) – The death toll from a fire that tore through a coronavirus hospital in southern Iraq rose to 92, health officials said on Tuesday, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Iraq (OHCHR) said Tuesday.

“The number of casualties of the fire in Al-Hussei Hospital fire in Nasiriyah has risen to 94, and 32 bodies are missing, including 2 health personnel,” said Ali Al Bayati, a member of Iraq’s Human Rights Commission.

“These figures are not much different from the tragedy of Ibn al-Khatib in Baghdad,” al-Bayati added.
