Shabwa traders refuse to deal with new currency

SHABWA, Jul. 13 (YPA) – Many traders Shabwa province refused on Tuesday to deal with illegal new currency printed by the Saudi-backed exiled Hadi government.

Eyewitnesses said that some shops in the city of Ataq, the capital of Shabwa, rejected to accept the illegal currency, new notes, after one dollar reached its price over 1,000 riyals.

The sources confirmed that food and construction stores declined to sell food commodities in illegal currency, indicating that the process of buying and selling commodities is in Saudi riyals and US dollars.
