Fisheries Minister stresses importance of linking information system in fish sector

SANAA, Jul. 13 (YPA) – Minister of Fisheries, Mohammed Al-Zubayri stressed the importance of the network and information system to reduce revenue manipulation in the fish sector.

This came during a workshop held on Tuesday by the Ministry to introduce the importance and role of the Fisheries Information Center, its outputs, and awareness of cyber security.

Al-Zubayri pointed out that the center and the networking system aimed to guarantee the rights of fishermen and prevent their exploitation by agents, as well as the registration and transmission of data on movements of weight, sale, auction and marine life products from landing centers and export outlets.
