Supreme Economic Committee renews call to neutralize economy, warns against collapse

SANAA, Jul. 12 (YPA) – An official source in the Supreme Economic Committee in Sanaa considered on Monday reaching the price of one dollar in occupied areas to 1,000 riyals, is a natural result of the deliberate destructive policies made by the Saudi-led coalition, through the mercenary government.

The source affirmed, in a statement, that the printing of 5.320 trillion of illegal and counterfeit currency (new notes) by the coalition has led to the collapse of the currency against the foreign currencies and the economic war targeting the Yemeni people.

In a new step, the Saudi regime has transferred the illegal currency by military planes from Saudi Arabia to Seiyun Airport, and distributed it directly to the mercenaries without being restricted by the Central Bank’s branch in Aden or Mukalla city.

The source warned that the continuation of the aggression coalition and mercenary government to pump the illegal and counterfeit currency, would lead to a further unprecedented collapse of the national currency in the south areas and a significant increase in the prices of foodstuffs, medicines and services.

The source called on the Yemeni people in the occupied areas of the south to move and force the coalition to stop the destructive policy of the national currency, as well as withdraw the illegal and counterfeit currency and stop the smuggling of foreign currency to the accounts of mercenaries abroad.

“The suffering of the Yemenis in the south areas cannot be felt by the mercenary government and leaders, because they live abroad and receive their salaries in dollars,” it added.

The source stressed the committee’s keenness to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people in the occupied areas, it has renewed its call to neutralize the economy and declared its readiness to move forward with any initiatives or agreements to achieve that, in accordance with calls that the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi and and Mahdi Al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council declared previously, which leads to ending the suffering of citizens.
