Angry protesters cut off public road in Zenjbar city of Abyan

ABYAN, Jul. 12 (YPA) – Dozens of citizens cut off the main road in Zenjbar city, the capital of Abyan province, southern Yemen, on Monday.

Local sources said that residents of ‘Al-Fallujah’ neighborhood in the city staged a protest against the background of the power outage, and they burned damaged tires in front of the power station in Al-Kuz tour.

The protesters demanded the Electricity Administration to repair the transformer, which was burned two weeks ago, accusing the administration of negligence.

They called on the local authority loyal to Hadi’s government and Saudi-led coalition to move seriously and oblige the Electricity Administration to fix the fault, amid the intense summer heat.
