SANAA, Jul. 11 (YPA) – The Minister of Transport, Amer Al-Marani, met in Sanaa on Sunday the Deputy Head of the United Nations Mission to Support the Hodeidah Agreement “UNMHA”, Daniela Kroslak.
During the meeting, they reviewed aspects related to the implementation of the Stockholm Agreement, foremost of which is the rehabilitation of Hodeidah port as a result of what was destroyed by the coalition of aggression.
They also discussed the facilities provided by the Ministry of Transport to the mission from one party to demonstrate good faith, while the other party did not make any concessions.
The meeting touched on the increasing violations of the aggression in Hodeidah province, the bombing of the Yemeni Red Sea ports, the maritime piracy practiced by the countries of the coalition of aggression, the detention of oil derivatives ships, and the closure of Sanaa International Airport.
In the meeting, the Minister of Transport stressed the importance of the UN Coordination Committee playing its humanitarian role in addressing the situation experienced by the Yemeni people in general and the people of Hodeidah in particular.
Al-Marani stressed that the United Nations deviated from its principles, values and credibility when it acquitted Saudi Arabia and the UAE of killing children and women in Yemen.
He pointed to the detention of oil, commercial and relief ships by the aggression and preventing its access to the ports of Hodeidah, despite obtaining entry permits from the United Nations committee, which causes the killing of children and humanitarian cases in hospitals and exposing them to certain death.
The minister indicated that the transfer of the inspection mechanism from Djibouti to the port of Hodeidah, according to the Stockholm Agreement, which has not been implemented, has doubled the suffering of the Yemeni people.
For her part, the UN official expressed her appreciation for the cooperation of the ministry, the Red Sea Ports Corporation and the local authority in Hodeidah for their efforts to facilitate the work of the committee in carrying out its tasks on the field.
