Aden power station goes out service

ADEN, Jul. 11 (YPA) – The public electricity service stopped during the past hours in all neighborhoods in the port city of Aden, southern Yemen, informed sources said on Sunday

Sources in Aden electricity said that a technical glitch in addition to overloading led to the suspension of the al-Khathiri station, which led to the power outages in large parts of the city.

Citizens complained of power outages for hours amid rising of temperatures, while the electricity corporation and the UAE-backed Southern Transitional  Council (STC)’s authorities ignored their suffering.

The city of Aden has been witnessing a wave of popular protests over the deterioration of public services and living conditions in the province.
