Interior Ministry arrests 17 security officers in Sanaa

SANAA, Jul. 10 (YPA) – Ministry of Interior has arrested 17 security officers for committing violations based on citizens’ complaints in several Sanaa police stations.

This came in a statement issued on Saturday by Citizens’ Complaints Committee at the ministry.

The committee received 329 complaints during its work in the capital Sanaa from last June 27 until July 7, 2021, including 196 complaints related to police stations in several provinces.

The statement indicated that the complaints against police stations in the capital, Sanaa, amounted to 160, of which 137 complaints were completed to inspect and 30 others referred to the Inspector General for consideration, as well as 23 complaints are still under procedures.
