Islah militants detain dozens of STC supporters in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, Jul. 08 (YPA) – Militants of Islah Party (Yemeni Brotherhoods) loyal to Saudi-led coalition on Thursday arrested dozens of supporters of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) at the entrances to Sayoun city in Hadramout province, southern Yemen, local sources reported.

The sources indicated that that the movements of the Islah militants to stop the demonstrators coming to Sayoun came on the orders of the Minister of Defense of the Hadi government, Mohammed Al-Maqdashi.

The STC had called on its supporters to participate in the “Earth Day” event in the city of Sayoun in Hadramout province.
