1 killed, 5 wounded in ambush targets military commander in Taiz

TAIZ, Jul. 08 (YPA) – At least one recruit loyal to Saudi-led coalition was killed and five others wounded in an ambush targeting a military commander of  Islah party in Taiz province, southwestern Yemen, local sources said.

According to the sources, an armed ambush targeted the commander of the Cairo Castle site “Abdullah Hammoud al-Sharabi”, in the 30th Street. The ambush was followed by armed clashes with various types of machine guns.

The armed ambush left one recruit killed and five  wounded of al-Sharabi’s escorts, the sources added.

The city of Taiz has been witnessing a serious state of insecurity amid the  spread of the armed gangs belonging to rival military leaders.
