Yemeni army attacks Saudi-backed militants in Lahj

LAHJ, June 5 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Tuesday waged a surprise attack with rockets and artillery shells on Saudi-backed militants’ sites in al-Huaimi front in Karish district of Lahj province, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The attack resulted in several dead and wounded in ranks of the militants, who fled collectively from the front.

The army forces seized several locations of the militants in the same front, according to the official.

The army forces inflicted heavy losses on the militants loyal to Saudi-led coalition, especially those who are from the southern provinces, in several fronts, including the west coast front.
