Hundreds rally to denounce corruption, chaos in Taiz

TAIZ, Jul. 03 (YPA) – Hundreds of sons of Taiz province rallied on Saturday to denounce corruption and security chaos sweeping in the province.

At the rally, the protesters with dozens defenders of rights and freedoms demonstrated this affirmed their rejection the miserable conditions suffered by the city’s residents.

The participants raised slogans and banners expressing their total rejection of the existing corruption in Islah Party-held government facilities.

For his part, an official source in the civil bloc in Taiz stated that the tragedies of the residents of Taiz are worsening day by day, as a result of the Islah authorities’ corruption, the prevalence of lawlessness, in addition to the spread of assassination gangs.

The source added that there are crimes that amount to war crimes committed by military and security leaders in Taiz, including extrajudicial executions, kidnappings, assassinations, enforced disappearances, and secret prisons,as well as robbery and looting of citizens’ homes and repeated attacks on public and private property, which caused deaths and injuries of civilians.
