ABYAN, Jun. 29 (YPA) – The Yemeni Islah Party loyal to Saudi-led coalition on Tuesday announced opening the door for recruitment to join its camps in Abyan province, southern Yemen.
Eyewitnesses reported that dozens of conscripts stood in long lines in front of the Islah camp in the coastal city of Shoqra in Abyan province.
Most of the recruits were children and young people, the eyewitnesses said, indicating that the recruitment process came after dozens of people from the southern provinces withdrew from the Shoqra and Qarn al-Klasi camp.
The military tensions between Islah and the Southern Transitional Council (STC) loyal to the UAE have returned, following Abadan events in Nisab district of Shabwa province, and the continuation of the Islah in sending military reinforcements to the Abyan front.
