Military commander injured due to assassination attempt in Aden

ADEN, Jun. 24 (YPA) – A military commander loyal to UAE-backed southern transitional council (STC)’s militias was injured on Thursday due to an assassination attempt in Aden province, local sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The sources said that unknown gunmen shot at the General Abdual-Hakeem al-Kubi in front of his home in Salah al-Deen area of al-Buraiqa district and they escaped.

The sources declared that one of the bullets penetrated the commander’s head, directly and wounded him instantly.

A number of citizens managed to take the leader al-Kubi to a hospital in the city for treatment and his health condition is very critical, the sources added.
