Al-Houthi comments on US government’s closure of Al-Masirah site

SANAA, Jun. 23 (YPA) – A member of the Supreme Political Council, Muhammad Ali al-Houthi, considered that the US ban on the Al Masirah satellite channel website, and other websites, confirms the arrival of the message and impact of these websites.

Muhammad al-Houthi said, via Twitter, that “the closure of the channels’ websites by America confirms the arrival of the message and influence of these sites, and that the free media frightens the regimes even if they claim freedom and call for it.”

He added: “The closure brings down the mask of democracy and its slogans, and that America is working with the concept of comprehensive confrontation, even if it is closing down sites.”

In this context, the channel re-launched the Al Masirah TV website, which was banned by the US Department of Justice, via a new link, hours after the main website of the satellite channel, which broadcasts from the Lebanese capital, Beirut, was closed.
