SANAA, Jun. 22 (YPA) – The spokesman for the electricity industry in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mostafa Rajabi Mashhadi, announced that the Bushehr nuclear plant will return to the country’s public electricity network within several days after addressing the technical defect in it.
Rajabi Mashhadi said in a statement to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA): The Bushehr nuclear plant went out of network on (Sunday) due to a technical fault.
He added: Efforts have begun to remedy the technical defect, and it is possible that it will return to the network within 4 days after the defect was resolved.
A spokesman for the electricity industry explained that the exit of this station from the grid reduces the generated power by 1,000 megawatts, as measures should be taken to manage consumption more seriously.
The Iranian Electricity Generation, Transmission and Distribution Company had called in a statement the day before yesterday, Sunday, to save energy in peak hours, due to the expected rise in temperature in most regions of the country, and this will continue until the end of this week, as well as the restrictions in generation due to maintenance work at the Bushehr plant, which continues Until the end of this week.
