SHABWA, Jun. 21 (YPA) – The leading member in the so-called “Southern Resistance”, Hassan bin Hassan Al-Tafi, was kidnapped on Sunday from a military point in Shabwa province, eastern Yemen, local sources said Monday.
The so-called “special forces”, affiliated with Islah Party loyal to Saudi-led coalition, at Al-Khiba point near Balhaf area in Radhom district, kidnapped Al-Tafi along with his escort Hussein bin Hamza, while they were on their way to Mukalla city, the sources explained.
Al-Tafi was taken to a prison in Ataq city, the capital of Shabwa province, the sources added.
Last weekend, Islah’s special forces abducted head of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council’s branch in Hadramout province and four other leaders, and took them to an unknown destination.
