Mahra sheikhs accuse Saudi Arabia of handing over Socotra to UAE

MAHRA, Jun. 21 (YPA) – One of sheikhs of Mahra province accused on Monday Saudi Arabia of handing over Socotra Island to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias.

The sheikh Hamid Zabanout said, on Twitter, that Saudi Arabia and its occupation forces facilitated the handover of the Socotra Archipelago province to the UAE militias and tampered with the Yemeni island.

“This is what we have been warned against since the first day of the peaceful sit-in of the Mahra sons,” he added.
